Aug 28- With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

 Response- I feel pretty good about this class so far, I've been doing all my assignments and being more engaged. Im definitely less shy from last year, and not falling asleep in class anymore since it's not the 2nd period. I just need to make sure I keep up the good work because last year towards the end of the semester I started to slack off. One challenge was doing some blog posts last minute, but in my defense my Chromebook died on Friday and I couldn't login until resetting my password.

Summary- In class we watched a short film and got a mask paper to draw/write our identity on (things that make up who you are).

Reflection- I learned that theres more then just your religion and culture that make up a person.

 Response- It depends on the situation of someone or the age, But in my opinion if they are fresh out of high school, around 18 or 20 and they still need to get their life started I can see that happening. But past that absolutely not, I think you should be independent financially. For example in my family both of my brothers graduated high school and they received help from their parents financially when they first started out in college, I think thats okay since they only rely on their parents for college expenses, and my oldest brother started paying for himself. I think it's okay to ask for help, but completely relying on your parents for money past 21 is a no for me. Summary- In class we read fences act one. Reflection- I learned the STEAL method in reading.

prompt- What are three goals you want to achieve?

Response- Three goals I want to achieve by the end of the year are graduating with a 3.4, saving all my money from work, and getting into college. I want to at least make A's and high B's in my classes in order to bring up my GPA. Im also planning to save more than half the money i make because i want to have enough money in the future and I also have a bad spending habit so im hoping to achieve my goal. I visited Georgia state and Georgia southern this summer and im aiming to attend Georgia state. I hope I end up achieving my goals by the end of my senior year. Summary- In class Mr. Rease taught the class how to set up a blogger account and what format to use.  Reflection- In class I learned how to make my blogger account and how to do a post again.

Sep 4-Prompt: After watching your classmates present their identity masks, think about how people are often more complex than what we see on the outside. What did the presentations teach you about looking beyond the surface when getting to know someone?

 Response- I learned that a lot of guys in my class connect with people through sports. One of the people in my class talked about how he grew up with soccer and how it connected him with his dad a lot and hes met people through the sport. I also learned more about everyone's background about their ethnicity and where they're from. Summary- In class we presented our identity masks. Reflection- I learned that theres a lot of things you couldn't guess about people by just their personality and appearance.
