sep 24-Prompt: Now that we have finished reading Fences and you are completing your final project, reflect on your overall understanding of the play. Which character, conflict, or theme has stood out to you the most, and why? Explain how your project represents what you learned about the play.

Response- The character/ conflict that has stuck out to me the most was troy. Especially when he denied Cory's scholarship for football. I feel like that was wrong and in the end he was just holding his son back, he didn't even give his son a chance to chase his dreams and future all because baseball didn't work out for him. He played a very traditional role as a ¨man¨ in the story, yet he couldn't stay loyal to his wife Rose and got mad when Cory called him out and hit him.

Summary- In class we took a test on Fences as the final assignment for the unit.

Reflection- I learned that in the end Cory ends up forgiving Troy and Rose reaches a state of acceptance.
