Oct 12-What is one dish from your culture that is a must-have as a representation of your culture? Identify the dish and explain what it is and why it is significant.

Response- A dish from my culture is cornbread. It's something my mom always makes during the holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whenever I think of meals from Thanksgiving or family parties I always expect cornbread to be included because my family makes it often. I did some research and cornbread originated from Native Americans and was later on taught to African and European cultures. Since then cornbread has been seen as an american dish, and it's important because it's linked between different cultures.

Summary- I wasn't in class on Monday so I dont know what we did but I'll just say I worked over my fall break.

Reflection- Each dish is from a different background from different cultures.
